Electrolux Chaiman Advises Business Leaders to Embrace Risks

Electrolux president and CEO Jack Truong told a group of Charlotte business leaders to take risks and embrace diversity. The talk, moderated by CAACC chairman Dr. John Chen, was part of the Charlotte Chamber's Perspectives in Leadership series and was co-sponsored by the CAACC.
Truong came to Charlotte and Electrolux in August 2011, leaving behind 22 years at 3M Company,

Electrolux sales have been boosted by a rebounding U.S. housing market. The Swedish appliance maker announced a 12 percent increase in first-quarter sales in April, even as it voiced concern about lackluster sales in Europe. Truong said Electrolux will center its next products around two trends in the marketplace: that time is the currency of the 21st century, and that the kitchen is the heart of the home.
